Cupping & Massage
Cupping is a therapy centered around the use of suction and a partial vacuum to manipulate the tissue, increase blood and lymph flow, as well as increase circulation in targeted areas on the body. It can be used all over the body – from feet to face – but is most commonly used on the back, arms, and legs. It is a great tool to work out tension and relieve stagnation that can occur from stress, injury, aging, poor circulation, and toxin build-up.

Deep Tissue Massage
Many people choose Deep Tissue Massage as their go-to massage because of it’s efficiency in manipulating tissue and working painful areas their back.
While Deep Tissue Massage shares some of the same techniques as Swedish Massage, the ultimate purpose for each massage is different. Swedish Massage is typically used for relaxation, general pain relief, and improved circulation.
Deep Tissue Massage, on the other hand, is ideal for chronic pain (of muscular origin), improved posture, and enhanced range of motion. The techniques of the two can be combined for an effective massage that relaxes,
but also works on problem areas.

Swedish Massage
Swedish Massage is the most common form of massage provided in massage clinics and spas around the United States.
The massage therapist employs unique techniques to relax the body, break up knots, and improve circulation.
Many people associate Swedish massage with “light” massage and sometimes opt for “deep tissue” thinking it will be more effective.
While Deep Tissue Massage certainly has its place in the therapist’s toolkit, Swedish massage is still an excellent choice for massage,
and increased pressure can be communicated with the therapist if you feel it is too light.

Reflexology
Beyond the feel-good effects of the treatment, the practice and purpose go deeper than the skin and muscles by taking specific reflex points on the foot to induce a healing response
in corresponding organs and areas of the body. Kneading the soft fleshy ball of the foot, pulling on the toes,
tracing around the heel and pushing deep into the arch are just a few of the many small, intense movements you’ll experience during a reflexology treatment.

Hot Stone Massage
Whereas most massages rely purely on the touch of the therapist, hot stone massage also includes smoothed, heated river stones, which provide additional warmth and pressure.
Typically made of basalt, the iron-rich stones retain heat well, making them ideal for use in massage.
As well as the chakra points, heated stones will be placed along both sides of the spine, between the toes, and on the palms of the hands,
in order to maximise the effectiveness of heat opening blood vessels and encouraging relaxation.

Trigger Point Therapy
A trigger point is believed to be a localized spasm or knot in the muscle fiber that may cause pain to be referred to other, more distant parts of the body.
Typically, massage therapists use a type of compression to help relieve trigger points. Pressure works by applying pressure to a "knot" for anywhere from 30 seconds to 90 seconds, until a change in the tissue is felt.
